Last month, I decided to try my hand at a “fast” project with a deadline again. It is a little scary, but I made sure that it is quite simple, no new techniques and that I had 95% of the materials in my stash. This all was met by Ocean Song Seraphine (prestige edition)!
At the moment I am writing this entry, I have finished the skirts and leg bands (or what you want to call them), sleeves and the wig is halfway! I am struggling a little with the shoes, but I have faith I will make them work. And the deadline I have decided upon is Abunai!con 2022. Meaning that I have about 6 weeks to get it done. I will be sewing, embroidering, airbrushing and crafting as much as feels good. I am looking forward to showing off my progress on my social media and sharing the results here. Expect some mermaid/sea/bubble inspired pictures here when I have done a photoshoot!
If I make it, I will try to participate in the Runway competition with this costume. I heard there are some spots open, so join on in, if you want to get your first stage experience in! If so, I will be there and help you with calming your nerves etc. While I might only have won a competition once, I do have some tips on how to manage your nerves and what to do about stage fright. And a nice chat is one of them! 😉
