And that was Elfia. I haven’t been there in a while and I don’t know when I will be back. It was nice wearing my own design for the first time. It might not be my favourite thing, but I enjoy being “free” from what the character means to others. I was free to do what I wanted, so I did!

I have to be honest: I didn’t walk on the hoof shoes at all. While they were quite more comfortable than I expected, I just have weak ankles. The rain had made the roads muddy and the small stones on the paths were terrible for my feet anyway, so even my most worn high-heel boots gave me blisters. 🙁 Apart from that, the costume was quite easy to wear, so I didn’t need to change much in other spots. I didn’t decide to participate in the Costume Parade, as I wanted not to take time away from my friends and their experience of Elfia.

So I walked around the festival grounds, looked at stuff to buy (and walked-out empty-handed) and thought about how to improve the costume for the next time. I also talked with a few friends I hadn’t seen in a while. For that, this even was kinda nice. But all in all: I really aint a fan of Elfia. It might just not be my cup of tea.

Much love,
Amirine
