Hi!

Since another two months have passed, I want to share updates regarding my on-going projects again. It’s time to almost close off this year and I hope to finish a few things before that happens.
My plan is to:
-slowly progress on the Malzeno armor
-make a few gifts for friends
-work on a new Palico prop

The comissioned cloak is finished and I am glad I managed to get it done. I don’t think I will do more commissions with such large amounts of fabric. It hurts my weakened shoulders, so I should be smart. 🙂

Malzeno has seen a bit of progress: the under armor has embroidery now! So next up is patterning the armor, which is quite the task, as I have to account for the leds that I will add under the red-pink parts. I do have a mock-up code for the LEDs, but I am not much further than this, so I hope it ends up looking alright.
I have also been working on a skit for this cosplay, which is a surprise to myself as well. I have been struggling with an artblock for a couple of years and it is never really clear what can help with it. This time it was a heart-to-heart with a friend that inspired me and I am feeling quite okay about it.

The gifts are also tests to see if I can use my embroidery machine for a tiny shop maybe. I want to try and make coasters, keychains and maybe a plushie or two. I’m excited about this! 🙂

And the palico is gonna go with my next Monster Hunter costume. I really wanted one for a while and I recently bought the pattern from Craftlocust on Etsy. It is a bit confusing to me, as my brain doesn’t grasp 3D objects. (I lack depth-vision :).) But I have been able to assemble the base thanks to the help of friends, so let’s see how it goes with the rest! I am planning on covering it in fur and using some fursuit techniques to make it fluffy and accurate.

Keep on crafting and see you next year!
