Hi!
It’s been a while. I took my time trying to recover (still not there) and my full-time job was moving locations, so that took quite some time from me. I don’t know when and if I will ever recover, so I am taking the good moments and making most of them. Gaming has been on an all-time low, cosplay is not doing well either and I am just putting time in cooking and taking care of myself. (Everything is going much slower with me, haha.)
But I can say that my Velkhana armor is getting close to the finish! I do not think I will make my initial deadline of February 18th, but since Abunai!con has been moved to a later date, that is okay. Velkhana just needs her belts and standing collar. I will need to check the attachment of the pauldrons, but I am getting there. Considering I did this alone and got just a little help from my friends, I am pretty proud. My plan is now to finish it before April of this year. Let’s see if I can get there!
To have something else to work on, I decided to make Caitlyn from Arcane/League of Legends as well. I have no plans to use her for competitions. Instead I want to use this costume to learn more features of my sewing machine (and get to know my mother’s new sewing machine). I hope that I will find a Vi to take some pictures with.
And why did I pick April as a deadline? Well, I am almost a homeowner now! And I will probably move in April! So I need to get my stuff in boxes in time and finishing a costume will be easier before it goes in boxes then after. (And it will be easier to join in a competition if the costume is finished. 😉 )
I wonder how Dalischa will respond to moving, but as long as I am there, I think she’ll be fine.
