A year later and it was finally time for round 2 of the Castle ruin photoshoot! The one planned for November 2023 had to be cancelled due to rain, so we had to wait for quite a bit to get better weather. But it was worth it! A bigger group got together this time around and we brought costumes from Star Wars, Sousou no Frieren, Witch Hat Atelier and more. In order to start the photoshoot good, Fhant (the helper, best help at the shoot) and I went to a restaurant for a coffee and some food. We arrived a bit earlier than planned at the location, so I could handle all formal stuff and get changed into Fern from Sousou no Frieren! Fern’s regular outfit is quite easy to get into myself, so I was ready in no-time and could welcome the others to the location. After most of us had arrived, I decided to take one of the photographers for a tour around the ruins, so he could see what the location has to offer.
We then decided to get some pictures of Fern while waiting for Elianzi, who was bringing Stark. After some fun solo pictures (that were not in character, but it was great to loosen up and get ready for more in-character pictures), it was time to get a little more serious and pouty when Elianzi arrived. It was a lot of fun to act out our pathetic boy and terrible at communicating girl together. We had some light-hearted stuff, some “let’s do this” stuff and some “just start dating already” stuff. To me, it was very satisfying and I decided to change, so Elianzi could get some solo pictures too.
When I got back as Gwendolyn from Odin Sphere, the grey clouds were disappearing and I got some time with a pretty golden hour. It was a pretty big change character-wise, going from pouty girl to depressed warrior princess. I did manage to get an hour in with her and I really want to wear her more, but right now, Fern owns my heart. I was satisfied quite soon, so I changed back to normal clothes and started cleaning up. I handed out Luma keychains to everyone who attended and we went to McDonalds for dinner.
