Normally I update once every two months, but last month has been quite eventful and I have some news to share. The biggest thing is that I added Gameforce and RINCon Halloween to my eventslist for this year. At Gameforce I will be participating in the E2C prelims with the Winter outfit of Fern (Sousou no Frieren)! Meaning I will have to work on a skit quite unexpectedly, thanks to a couple of friends pressuring me to just do it.
The outfit is fully done, including the 3D printed bracelet and hairpin. I printed, sanded and painted them myself and am really happy with how they turned out! So what I still have to do, is make the props (a wall and a mimic) and put together the audio and video. I have until September to make all that. My aim is to finish it earlier, so I can practice lots. I doubt I have a chance of winning this, because the costume looks so simple and is not from a video game. But I want to practice a bit before I go for bigger projects again. The skit I have in mind is just a silly little thing, which I hope a lot of people enjoy.
For RINcon Halloween I will update my Satyr costume, so I can walk around in style. Hopefully, I get some pictures back, because I didn’t get any from Elfia last year. (Which is something I’m still sad about.) The planned updates are a new wig and horns, so nothing too stressful.
And to update on a few other things:
- the Palico from Monster Hunter now has armor and looks so dapper! No helmet yet, nor his little weapons, but it looks so much better.
- Thanks to my dad’s 3D printer, I managed to finish Star Guardian Seraphine’s familiars.
- I’m making some decoration for the Matsuri at Abunai!con, so I can reduce my fabric stash a little more. Due to unprofessional behaviour of one of the staff members, I will not be returning to Abunai!con after this event. Which is something that pains me to write.
That’s it for now. Hope you enjoyed reading this extra update.
Keep on crafting!
