Hi everyone!

The past months went by in a flash! I had a lovely vacation in which I scouted a location (very pretty, expensive, but reasonable with rights), went to Viencon, did some maintenance on my house and went for a photoshoot in Germany, but I didn’t craft as much as I had hoped. It was amazing though and I feel recharged. After the vacation, I also had a photoshoot in Groningen and in between I worked on lectures and tried to squish in some crafting time. So very busy, but I loved it a lotttt!

The photoshoot in Germany was amazing. We went there with a group of 7 people and I finally made it to the castle I set-up a Ko-fi goal for! Thank you all so much for donating <3. Pictures can be found on Fern’s dance dress page, as we ran out of time and didn’t get to shoot Gwendolyn too. I really loved it there and would like to go back another time. There’s so much potential!

There was also the photoshoot in Groningen, for which I packed Shenhe. I greatly enjoyed seeing friends again, who I hadn’t seen in a while and hanging out with them. It was a bit sad that three photographers had cancelled after each other and that it started raining halfway in the afternoon. I’m not sure if I have any good pictures from that day (due to my feelings), which makes me a bit sad. But I am happy that Fhant tried some photography and I really am seeing potential! I’m so proud of him. <3

Let’s get to the project overview:

  • Theophany set, FFXIV:
I decided on making a 3D printed staff. Which decided to be a hell. Malfunctions cost me over 6 weeks. I’m glad this is all trial, but I’m disappointed with how it all went. I’m painting the staff now and it has to be finished really soon (tomorrow) for my planned deadline.
But the Theophany set will be brought to the next big shoot anyway. And I decided to make a Moogle plushie too, to go back to my roots and have a cute little prop. I’m working hard! 🙂
  • Malzeno set, Monster Hunter Rise:
The bodysuit is almost wearable, but I need to add more velcro for armor attachments and add a zipper. The twin needle I bought helped a lot and the newer fabric is better than the previous I used. The zipper still has to be installed, but I have faith it will be good.
The foam elbow guards were also made, as I missed them when looking at my main reference. But glad I found out in time by means of the in-game model on PC. The elbow guards are made from foam and have metal rings to “stick” it to the bodysuit. They are airbrushed and have been shaded with oil paints.
I started making the circlet and got a bad headache with 3D modeling (don’t do that if you don’t have depth-vision. Big ouch.) But it looks neat printed in PETG and I am very happy with those gems. The base is foam and faux leather, which is fun to work with.
And the shield has also seen some progress. Slowly building on this one and enjoying it. 🙂

And now it is time for Scotland! Yay! Next update of my blog will be a big portfolio one, I hope. 🙂

Keep on crafting!
