Hi everyone,

Once again the year is coming to a close. It was an eventful one in both positives and negatives. I’m glad to be ending the year on positives, which means it’s all good. 🙂 My portfolio has been updated with a lot of content and I’m very happy with how it looks.
Right now, I’m crafting a lot to prepare for the next year and relax. I’ll also visit the Midwinterfair this year, so I got to have one outfit ready to go. The idea is to meet up with Year Zero friends there and have a good time. 🙂 Fhant will be coming along too, so I am expecting to have a lot of fun there. I just need to pick a costume that matches the weather. Will that be the Theophany set or Winter Fern? There are options!

Fhant and I also bought tickets for the Cosplay Meet XL event. We love to visit and support first-time fan events and this is right up that alley. That will likely be our first event in 2026. We are also planning Animecon again, but we’ll see where else we end up with events. Runeheim is an option, maybe Midsummerfair again, but I really, really want to do more photoshoots.

And since the last months of the year are here, I am preparing for my annual crafting outburst. That usually happens around this time. I have a few big projects and they all can use some time, attention and progress.

Let’s get to the crafting diary:

  • Theophany set, FFXIV:
It was finished and then it wasn’t! The Scottish wind blew apart the belt, which I’ve since then remade. And the staff I 3D printed before Scotland broke before actually getting started with the photoshoot… I’ll make a different one, when I feel like it. It’s not a core component to the outfit, so I don’t want to stress myself. V1 (see picture) is retired, V2 is in progress.

  • Malzeno set, Monster Hunter Rise:
The bodysuit is done! The underarmor is now in the process of being adjusted to my changed body shape. (This is what going to the gym does, don’t do it! :P) And in order to create the proper shape to hold Malzeno’s skirt, I’m making my own small hoop skirt. Kinda nervous about that one, but if it works and I understand the idea, I can make more structured garments for cosplay.
After that is the wig and the circlet. These are decent things to work on during the colder period in the Netherlands, so I didn’t prioritize them earlier.
  • 10H, Nier; Reincarnation:
New cosplay! I was gifted the base for this one (Thank you Fhant!), so I can focus on making it look pretty and polishing techniques I haven’t used much. I’ve already made feathers with my plotter and printed a sword and black box with the 3D printer. My goal is to try to really match 10H’s hair in wigstyling. Stuff like that. And! I will duo this with MissWafflescos. <3 I’m hyped! This costume is almost ready to roll!
  • Gwendolyn, default version, Odin Sphere:
And a second new project! This will be a longer one. A remake of an older costume (see picture below). Gwendolyn is a character that remains close to my heart, so I am happy to try making her again. I’ve started with the undergarments to have a base to build upon and with the frame for the wings, as I will make those differently this time. I’m very excited about this one to finally get the love she deserves!

Keep on crafting!
