Hi everyone,
Two months have passed again, so time for an update. Things will slow down in the crafting department of my life, as I started a new job. I do hope to have a little bit more time for crafting on a regular basis when I get settled, but just not in the beginning. I’m happy to have a new challenge ahead of me. You can see I have been busy in a lot of areas lately, so it’s time to chill. Anyhow, let’s update the cosplay list:
- Fern’s (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End) alternative outfit/”OC”
Halloween Fern
is actually finished. And the Halloween version is close to being finished. I’m working on her witch hat now, printing a few cute pumpkins for the belt thing and then she’s almost ready to shoot. This costume was unexpectedly going in a creative flow. That made me happy.
- Hatsune Miku, Synchronicity (Vocaloid): I found some cool methods to add to this costume and make it feel amazing. 3D printing is a thing I am using for the wow-effect here. The wig is done, and the mask too. So now I work on random tidbits whenever I have the energy. The skirt is well underway and the stockings are too.
For these parts it is important that I am not rushed, so they need to wait. A project will be finished if you keep working on it and I am really sure I will have this one done in a few months.Synchronicity Miku
I hope to have this one finished around Animecon. Not that I want to bring this to Animecon, but I want to plan a photoshoot just after Animecon and this one would be a great fit for the location.
- And I have started on cosplays for Fhant! He wanted to become a Mitachurl (Genshin Impact) and try Qual (Sousou no Frieren), but he is not yet confident in his crafting. This means we’re going to make those costumes for him together!
I managed to squeeze in a one day visit to Heroes Made in Asia in March. I went as Fern (Sousou no Frieren) in her dance dress so I could go by train and not worry about parking costs. I planned to go to this convention for the food and hopefully seeing some familiar faces. You can read more about my experience, if I saw friends and if I feel like it is worth it to visit it again in this blog post.
And I hosted a workshop at Nishicon at the 29th of March, which I greatly appreciated being requested for. Many thanks for the opportunity! <3 Read more about my Nishicon visit here and the notes I have written to go with the workshop are available here, as a refresher. I was there as Asuka (Neon Genesis Evangelion), who finally had her debut! I have had her outfit since 2021(not exactly sure when) and never got to wear her before.
To be honest: I had hoped to share more cool stuff with you, but it apparently is difficult to properly inform me about changes in plans. I love to collaborate on many kinds of things, but so many opportunities have been taken away from me and I often don’t even get a heads-up. If you are thinking of asking me for a workshop, panel, guesting, interview, anything: please do. And if the plans change: PLEASE let me know. I have other things to do than cosplay and I can and have to use all my time properly to maintain my life, work, house, cat, cosplay etc. I know I am not a big name cosplayer, but I am human too and some kindness is much appreciated. Even if you have to give me “bad news”, I will respond to you, so you know the message has been received.

Qual – Sousou no Frieren
There is a lot of other stuff I’m looking forward to, like a photography/modelling week in Scotland. That’s gonna be a lot of fun and I am already hyped to help as many people as I can in making their dreams come true. Maybe I can get a cool picture or two myself as well?
And I’m part of a big Star Guardian cosplay meet/photoshoot.
And I am going to participate in a photoshoot at an amazing castle!
And I am going to make Fhant a cosplay, Qual, to join me and other Frieren cosplayers for a picknick!
And maybe I can find a new location for a group shoot, as the previous one I mentioned did not want to collaborate in the end. So lots of cool things and stuff to work on ahead for me.
Keep on crafting!
